DVD DETAILS

According to Amazon.com a special release of the Samurai Pizza Cats has been available for purchase since late 2003 through their website. The DVD itself (produced by a small company known as Jade) can be seen as questionable due to its less than perfect cover, title menu and a slap of 5 seemingly random episodes. However, a true fan of the SPC series will not be discouraged by these few flaws since it is, after all, one of the only DVD releases in English known of at this time (there is also a full series French boxset).


The episodes included are:

Ep 1 - Stop Dragon My Cat Around

Ep 8 - Kind of a Drag

Ep 10 - Hot and Kold Kitties

Ep 11 - Candid Kitty

Ep 12 - The Pizza Cats are Only Human Pt 1


It is unknown whether a second DVD shall be released however facts do point towards at least one more release these being the 1 found on the cover of the DVD and the fact the final episode is a section of a two part ep. The DVD also contains selected character bios and one can assume more bios will come in the future. Such as those of the Emperor.


From one fan to another, this DVD is highly recommended. For the most part the sound and picture quality is excellent (or at least better than those 14 year old tapes sitting in your cupboard) and present a good flash back to the past and for many of us, the joys of childhood.
